T&Cs - Corporate Kindness Conference and Awards

The following information will guide you on how to nominate, and the stages your nomination will proceed through, in the 2022 Australian Corporate Kindness Awards.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can be nominated in a category for which they are eligible. You can self-nominate or nominate another party. All entrants or nominations must operate in Australia and are open to corporate/businesses and social enterprises.

Award judges and sponsors, along with their companies, are not eligible to nominate in the categories in which they are judging or sponsoring. Members of the Bambuddha Group Advisory Council or Associated Committees are not eligible for individual awards, but they may be members of an award-winning business.

How to nominate

Please use the online nomination form to make your nomination. 

You will be asked to provide more information for your award nomination if you are shortlisted into the finals.

Other than contact details for the nominator and nominee, you will be asked to submit a nomination statement, explaining why the business or leader should win the nominated award and stating which category and award type you are applying for. 

  • The statement should address the questions as set out in the description of the award category.

Each category has its own dedicated judging panel. Panels will be made of a minimum of three judges. Judging panels have been reviewed and approved by the CKA Executive Producer and Corporate Kindness Awards Organising Committee. Where possible, judging panels consist of:

  • A party with relevant expertise (for example, a lawyer, industry leader, subject matter expert and business leader already excelling in the area) who is external to Bambuddha Group.

  • In the case of a nomination presenting a perceived conflict of interest for any Judge, that Judge will excuse themselves from judging that entrant.

Conditions of Nomination 

  • All entrants or nominations must operate in Australia

  • All entrants or nominations are open to corporate/businesses and social enterprises

  • The Judging Panel reserves the right to place your entry into a category it feels most appropriate.

  • The Judging Panel reserves the right to create or delete categories based on the number of entries received

  • The applicant acknowledges that if they win an award, that the award is personal to the winner and may not assigned to another person or business

  • Awards presented will be to the organisation or the person named on the application form

  • No alterations to applications will be permitted after the date of submission. however submissions may be withdrawn prior to announcement of winners

  • A finalist MUST have a representative present at the awards on 1st April 2022

  • The winner of the CEO and Kind Leader Awards will be required to deliver a brief acceptance speech

  • Nomination into Leadership Awards is free. There is an administration fee for all other category awards.

  • Your privacy is protected and all entries are regarded as CONFIDENTIAL. All individuals involved in the judging process are required to complete a ‘ Judge and Confidentiality Agreement’

  • All entrants or nominations must be registered with the ATO as a business and hold a current ABN number, with the exception of the Leader awards

  • Where there is a tie, the winner will be determined by the business with the most points awarded in the General Question area

  • No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted or misdirected entries or due to technical malfunctions that result in an individual being unable to submit an entry online

  • The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into

  • Please ensure your nomination is received by midnight AEST 7th June 2021. Late entries will not be accepted. Plan to get your nomination in early.

What happens to nominations?

Upon the close-off date for nominations, at midnight on AEST 7th June 2021:

  • The online application form will close.

  • Nominations will be forwarded to each of the judges in each category.

  • Judges will use a standardised template to assess nominations, with each nomination receiving a score out of 100.

  • Judging scorecards will be sent to an Awards Administrator for consolidation on a single category scorecard.

  • The top three scoring nominations will be deemed “finalists”.

  • In the case of a 3rd/4th tie, the judging panel on that category will confer to select three clear finalists. In the case where three clear finalists cannot be agreed, the judging panel will have the discretion to name four finalists.

  • All finalists will be announced on 14th June 2021.

  • Finalists will have 10 days to provide additional supporting materials of up to 10 pages (no smaller than 10 pitch font) of written and 10 minutes viewing/listening of video/audio (should they choose).

  • The judging panel will be sent final submissions for review.

  • All judging panels will have a final meeting to discuss the merits of each submission.

  • Each judge will submit their final score to the Awards Administrator.

  • Only the Awards Administrator and Marketing team will be aware of the final winners in each category.

Awards Ceremony - 1st April 2022

Announcement of Winners

  • Winners will be announced at the Corporate Kindness Awards in Sydney on 1st April 2022.

  • Should COVID restrictions apply where in-person events are not permitted, awards will be held virtually and posted to winners after the event.

Rights and Expectations of Winners

  • All winners will receive a fully paid ticket for 2023 Corporate Kindness Conference and Awards

  • All winners may be invited to participate in a future judging panel for the category in which they were awarded.

  • Your award will be presented on the evening of the 2022 Corporate Kindness Conference and Awards

  • You will appear in the Corporate Kindness Awards directory for future event and award participants to see.
